Exhibit A

People often peruse my cd collection and ask why I don't listen to more Christian music.

Oh, it's gotten much better than it used to be, but the "used to be" was really bad. I used to be very critical of Christian music (from a musical perspective), but found that people like to lynch those who are critical of Christian music. Just because the message is good doesn't mean we should tolerate bland, washed-out crap; in fact, one might say that to not give 110% of yourself as a musician when creating Christian music, well, isn't very Christian at all. ;)

I've emailed it to you in the last hour, check your spam folder. For some reason I get trapped there a lot, both in email and in life. :) If you don't get it, ping me again with your phone number and I'll just call you. Might be simpler.

I got this via e-mail today, and almost wrote an identical post to this. I spent the first 30 seconds thinking that it might be a genius parody, or Weezer-Buddy-Holly-esque concept video. "The music may sound different, but the message is the same." This may actually be the most authentic piece of new wave to come out of CCM.

Uh, um, hmm.

Did I hear a line about a Jesus being like a mounty who always gets his man?

Poor Jesus.

Even for its day this wasn't considered good. It's kinda like painting the 80's with this brush. Not very fair.
