Graceland

A good cover can be difficult to come by. Some play too fast and loose, others show such reverence as to be irrelevant.

But a great cover helps you to hear an old favorite in a whole new way.

This is just one example.

That's great. A real reinterpretation of the song. The rawness of his voice and the paring of the chorus' lyrics give the song a more bitter tone, narrowing the focus on the end of a relationship. The original--partly from Simon's voice and partly from the additional lyrics--has a more melancholy tone and goes beyond the pain of a dissolved relationship and seems to point to him looking for purpose and redemption.
